art & adventures in nyc
Just returned from an inspiring trip to NYC to drop off some new creations to the casting company I work with (including the little cat!), and take in some Big City arts & culture.
The first night I was lucky enough to catch a performance of Warrior Sisters at the Pan Asian Repertory Theatre  thanks to my dear artist, theatre professional & museum educator friend Daniella
(still a few days left to catch this charming and fierce performance!)
The next day I explored the Grolier Club Library for a bookbinding exhibition and had dinner with three inspiring women - Sara Cleto, Delia Sherman & Ellen Kushner! What a special night of vibrant conversation and delicious vegan food. My life is so enriched by the people I know through the Mythic Arts Community!
the next day was for Beatrix Potter - Drawn to Nature at the Morgan Library with visionary magic realist fillmmaker Lisa Stock! (join her Patreon for exclusive behind-the-scenes and charming short films!)
On my last day I was lucky to visit Nine Orchard with my friend- actress & photographer Lynn Farrell. What a view!
There is so much to be inspired by in the city ~I stopped to photograph so many lovely ironwork, tiles, and stone that may get incorporated into future designs.
I was so happy to be in this exciting city for four days, but now glad to be home deep in the quiet Spring-like forest.
Thank you for your hospitality, Daniella & Oreo!
I even got the chance to experience Club Cumming, and it exceeded my expectations! So fun. (Sadly no Alan or Lala sighting though, sigh!)
My other favorite place to unwind after a long day in the city is Otto's Shrunken Head where they hold the awesome Mermaid and Mai Tai Market the first Sunday of the month. Check them out next time you are in NYC!
