"The jewelry with which we choose to embellish ourselves speaks volumes. To embrace a Parrish Relics piece is to gravitate toward meaning and sentiment, reflecting our most innermost feelings, special memories, or symbols that resonate within us." ~ Stephanie Chatfield for the Pre-Raphaelite Issue of Enchanted Living Magazine
Parrish Relics is a dream come true for me ~ creating wearable shrines that speak of Mythic Symbolism, a love of Nature, Ancient Folklore. I hope that they go on to tell the wearer's own story of the things that they love and cherish.
Crafted with recycled sterling silver and bronze, antiqued for a romantic appearance of age and History. Each original is carved by hand in wax or sculpted of clay, cast and then hand-finished in my rural Massachusetts workshop.
recent collaborations
Created for the Thomas Becket Exhibition at the British Museum. One of the Miracle Windows from the Trinity Chapel of Canterbury Cathedral was a highlight of the show, so I was inspired to design an Amulet based on the main clover shape in the central panel. Curling tendrils of floriated ornament wind around the clover. Set with jewel-toned stained glass reflecting the colors used in the original window.
This collection sold out early in the run of the Exhibition, a second order was placed which sold out as well.
Created for the Edward Burne-Jones Exhibition at Tate Britain. Found image Pictorial Amulets that celebrate the beautiful faces that Burne-Jones so lovingly painted in The Golden Stairs, matching opalescent earrings, sea-toned Stained Glass Arch pendants inspired by his Hope & Faith Stained Glass Window Designs in Oxford with Morris & Co.
This collection sold out before I arrived, but I'm so glad that I experienced this once-in-a-lifetime exhibition of one of my favorite artists and had the chance to meet the lovely shop staff that helped make it such a success.

Inspiration & ideas for collaboration.

pictorial
Unique pendants featuring the tilework and mosaic flora and fauna - or selected paintings from the museum's collection. (I enjoy working with supplied imagery from outdated brochures, museum maps, postcards, and other printed ephemera when possible.)
Set within rounded, arched, heart or rectangular-shaped frames- with custom metal, beadwork, and chain options.

stained glass
Pendants that reflect the colors and architectural elements of Narcissus Hall, the Silk Room or Arab Hall.
Quick sketch of hand-cut stained glass in hues inspired by the rich tilework, held within an antiqued bronze ogee arch frame. I could also research creating ceramic options for more customization possibilities.

Simple sculptural pendants and earrings can bring a small element of the museum into focus - such as an architectural detail or wallpaper ornament!
The current collections below can also be customized for your shop.

"Jen Parrish-Hill lives in accordance with Ruskin's advice, going to nature in all singleness of heart. Her home, Frog Hollow, sits nestled within a lush green forest where her particular brand of alchemy is conjured and spells are woven, creating Parrish Relics, jewelry that speaks to the soul."
~ Stephanie Graham Piña for the Pre-Raphaelite Issue of Enchanted Living Magazine
