How long does it take to receive a piece of jewelry once I order?

Thorn orders: (already made) are sent out within days of the credit card approval.

Catalog orders: (custom created) Due to the time involved in making each piece individually, processing time is estimated at anywhere from 4-8 weeks. Large orders please estimate 8-11 weeks. This time period is determined depending upon where you are in the order queue and if it is during peak show or selling seasons. Rush orders are accepted, please refer to the ordering page for details. Please feel free to check in on your order whenever you like!

What materials do you use? I mainly work with sculpted and etched pvc/polymer/resin clay that is hand painted to match whatever metals in the accompanying chain or beadwork (sometimes vintage brass, plated gold or silver, filigree beads, etc. please contact us for custom work if you have any metal allergies as many of our findings are sometimes vintage and unlabled when purchased.) Other elements are stained glass, semi precious stones, glass beads, wooden beads, glass vessels, scented resins like frankinsence and amber, found images, and customer supplied photos.

How long have you been designing jewelry? I started creating my own jewelry in High School in the late eighties, and began my professional training at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts in Boston. There I studied Metalsmithing, Sculpture, Stained Glass and Art History. My current work reflects what I have learned in all aspects of my focus there, also taking classes at the Art Institute of Boston and Mass Art. I continue to educate myself through museum worship, travel and reading as many books as I can find! More in depth information and interviews can be found HERE.

Custom Pictorial Pendants: Could you create a necklace with a picture of ______ in it? I do have "found image" inventories at the studio, please be specific about what you are looking for as I have many different categories:

Medieval Images * Tudor Images * Renaissance Men/Women * Fairy Paintings * Pre-Raphaelite Paintings * Illuminated Manuscripts * Animals * Couples in Art * and a few more categories. Just ask!
(I sometimes get overwhelmed with requests, please feel free to harass me if I haven't gotten to yours!)

If I do not have the image on file, you would need to mail it to me in a high quaility dpi (300+) image on non-glossy paper in the exact size you want the pendant to be, minus the frame (sending more than one image on a sheet is great, in different sizes if you aren't sure what would look best). If you cannot mail one to me there would be an additional printing charge.

What are the lengths of your necklaces? Normally they are made to sit just below the collarbone, @18 inches. Please just mark the order form if you have another length in mind, there may be an additional cost.

What are your bracelet sizes? My bracelet sizes are normally 7.5- 8.5.....just let me know on the order form your preference.

Do you make rings? The main materials I work with don't really lend themselves to the sizing and constant wear that a ring would need to stand up to.

Will you sell at _____ show? I will consider all fairs, shows or festivals suggested, just send me an email. If it is not a local event, normally I choose one a year that I will travel to. I appreciate all suggestions and love to try out new venues.

Returns/Repairs~ If you find that you are unhappy with your order I will gladly offer a full refund minus the shipping charges within 30 days of purchase. Merchandise must be in "as new condition" and in original box and packing materials. Custom designs are not refundable but final images are sent to you for approval before shipping.

Please refer to the care sheet included in the packaging for proper cleaning and storage to prevent any breakage or damage. If somethings does happen to the piece after purchase and with proper care, repairs are free of charge. Just pay for shipping to the studio and I will pay for the return. Please first contact me to let me know that you are returning something for refund or repair.

I saw you on DIY...can you tell me how to recreate _____ ? The DIY show gives all the instructions on making stained glass earrings~ I unfortunately don't have the time to teach or explain any further than I did on the show itself. There are many, many books on polymer clay techniques on the market for people to experiment with their own design ideas. I make an artist's living on my copyrighted jewelry creations and hope people understand why I don't appreciate outright design copying.
